Versay™ was created from countless late nights where all we wanted was one simple thing —
to read in peace.
We’d end our days with a book in hand, ready to unwind, but the lighting around us never felt right.
Room lights were too bright. Phone flashlights were harsh.
Most reading lamps were bulky, heavy, or distracting to everyone around us.
Nothing felt natural.
Nothing felt calming.
Nothing felt right for quiet moments.
THE PROBLEM WE KEPT RUNNING INTO
Lights were either blinding or uncomfortable, creating glare or bothering the people we love.
We tried solution after solution… but nothing captured that soft, focused, intimate feeling that makes nighttime reading special.
So, we decided to create it ourselves.
HOW WE STARTED BUILDING VERSAY™
We spent months exploring different light tones, angles, beams, and brightness levels —
testing every version in real nighttime settings:
in bed, on the couch, during late study sessions, during travel, and everywhere in between.
Our mission became clear:
to design a light that feels soft, balanced, and gentle on the eyes,
while still providing perfect clarity on the page.
THE DESIGN PROCESS
After many prototypes, trials, and improvements, we finally arrived at a design that felt exactly right —
minimal, elegant, and distraction-free, blending into your reading routine without disturbing anyone nearby.
